Over a month and I can&#8217;t even blame the fact that is was so nice outside that I had better things to do.  Anyway, I&#8217;m going to try to change that.  We will see&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>6:30 AM &#8211; it is snowing.   I know better than to think that we&#8217;re out of the weather woods until May 24th.  More than one person has woke up in the tent&#8230; in the wood&#8230; on the &#8220;Glorious 24th&#8221;&#8230;  under 10 cm of snow!<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>Changes at Sun since the Oracle take over &#8211; see this link on the Globe and Mail piece &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.theglobeandmail.com\/news\/technology\/larry-ellison-details-sun-changes\/article1567548\/\">Larry Ellison details Sun changes<\/a>&#8221; from 2010 May 14.  Sun&#8217;s history reads like a Greek tragedy (not unlike Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), Compaq and a host of others).  Ellison has a history of doing what he says he will do.  Time will tell but I wouldn&#8217;t bet against him.   IBM was (and is, for that matter) successful with the same paradigm in the mainframe world.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times had an interesting article yesterday (2010 May 13) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2010\/05\/14\/world\/14awlaki.html?th&amp;emc=th\">U.S. Decision to Approve Killing of Cleric Causes Unease<\/a>.
