{"id":38,"date":"2010-05-23T19:21:24","date_gmt":"2010-05-23T22:51:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/?p=38"},"modified":"2010-05-23T19:21:24","modified_gmt":"2010-05-23T22:51:24","slug":"free-e-mail-certs-tim-hortons-rant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/?p=38","title":{"rendered":"Free E-mail Certs &amp; Tim Horton&#039;s Rant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Free E-mail Certificates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I found this great free site for e-mail certificates.\u00a0 Just in case you don&#8217;t know, you can add a digital certificate to your email to allow you to encrypt and digitally sign your emails so they cannot be intercepted, read or modified by anyone except the person you sent them to.  These are &#8220;real&#8221; certificates, not &#8220;self-signed&#8221;, that are recognised world-wide.\u00a0 The certificates are from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comodo.com\/\">Comodo<\/a> and can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comodo.com\/home\/email-security\/free-email-certificate.php\">here<\/a>.\u00a0 They also have a number of other free security products &#8211; recommended look.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tim Horton&#8217;s Rant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I stopped by Tim Horton&#8217;s today before lunchtime (around 11:30) today to pick up a cappuccino, or what Tim&#8217;s passes off as a cappuccino &#8211; whatever, my wife likes them, and ended up going in instead of waiting in the drive through line.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t speak for Tim&#8217;s outside of the metro St. John&#8217;s area with any in-depth knowledge, but generally walk-in is faster than the drive through.\u00a0 This, however, seems to be changing.<\/p>\n<p>The big problems that I have with Tim&#8217;s are:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Since they started selling &#8220;sandwiches&#8221; the time waiting to be served has gotten crazy.\u00a0 It was bad when having to wait for a toasted bagel but this makes things worse by an order of magnitude.\u00a0 You are standing in line waiting for your cup of coffee, which only takes a a minute, and you have to wait 4-5 minutes &#8211; or more &#8211; for the person in front of you to get a sandwich.\u00a0 Why don&#8217;t they have a coffee and doughnut only line where nothing has to be cooked?\u00a0 I really hate waiting 15-20 minutes in a line for a cup of coffee.\u00a0 (Maybe that is why I generally make my own coffee and take to work.)<\/li>\n<li>This is an extension to the first problem &#8211; they say that they don&#8217;t accept Interac because it would affect their quick service.\u00a0 Poppycock!\u00a0 Given the length of time I have to wait to get change made from my five dollar bill or the time waiting for someone to get a sandwich made the time to process an Interac transaction don&#8217;t count for much.\u00a0 If they said that they didn&#8217;t want to accept Interac because of the service changes &#8211; which in <strong><em>my<\/em><\/strong> opinion is the <strong>real<\/strong> case &#8211; I could buy the argument.\u00a0 But not to impact their fast service you gotta be joking.\u00a0 Maybe things are better in the capital of Canada, err&#8230; I mean Toronto, but this ain&#8217;t the case here!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Free E-mail Certificates I found this great free site for e-mail certificates.\u00a0 Just in case you don&#8217;t know, you can add a digital certificate to your email to allow you to encrypt and digitally sign your emails so they cannot &hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/?p=38\">Continue reading <span class=\"meta-nav\">&rarr;<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-38","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/38","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=38"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/38\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=38"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=38"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/blog.pelleys.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=38"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
